TO THE STUDY OF THE COLLOIDAL PROPERTIES OF BENTONITE CLAY FOR DRILLING FLUIDS PREPARATION

Annotation:

Bentonite has unique properties, thanks to which it is advisable to use it when drilling deep wells. The results of studying the colloidal properties of various bentonite samples are presented. The colloidality of clays is determined and the dependencess between the indicators of the suspensions properties are built. It is shown that an increase of the colloidality coefficient brings increase of plasticity coefficient, while the filter cake permeability decreases.
