Annotation:

The production of hydrocarbons at the "White Tiger" field, which began under a 1981 Agreement between the USSR and Vietnam, has been developed for over 40 years. In recent years, hydrocarbons production at this field is reaching its final stage and will soon be finished. Elimination of all marine oil-and-gas structures (MOGS)is required. The "White Tiger" field will be the first field where the elimination activities will be carried out on the Vietnamese continental shelf. This is a complex activity and research on this topic in Vietnam is still limited. Based on the legislation, being in force nowadays, liquidation should be carried out taking into account the requirements of environmental protection and maritime navigation. The paper is devoted to the problems of marine oil-and-gas structures (MOGS) liquidation, such as legal regulations, stages of the marine oil-and-gas structures (MOGS) liquidation project, technology of MOGS dismantling.
