Annotation:

The process of sand retention during filtration of high-viscosity oil by bottomhole filters used at the Shengli field (China) has been investigated. The parameters of the filtering system depend on the type of filtering elements of the filter, the hydrodynamic filtration mode and, to a large extent, on the layer of sand formed on the surface of the filter. It was revealed that the permeability of this layer depends on the type of filter elements of the bottomhole filter.
