Annotation:
A new approach to the formulation of the problem of a drill string stress-deformed state of a drill string horizontal section has been fulfilled. The drillstringcompressed-bent state in a well under the string's own weight and compressive force on the bit is considered. A fairly accurate solution on the curvilinear shape of the drill stringunder various values of the compressive forcewas obtained. Outside the curved section, adjacent to the bit, the stability of the straight-line shape of the drill string lying on the well wall is considered. Recommendations are formulated on the admissible horizontal sections drillinglength under the conditions of strength of curved and stability of straight sections.
