Annotation:

The article considers the problem of increasing the load reaching during directional drilling of horizontal sections in wells with a length of 2000 m by selecting a combined drill string with an increase in rigidity in the places where the buckling effect occurs. Due to the drill string (DS) optimal composition and the use of a hydrocarbon-based mud, it became possible to increase the load reach in the directional drilling mode by the standard BHA. Thus, the previously used drill string assemblies were subjected to "folding" when the length of the horizontal well reached 1000–1200 m, which did not allow observing the planned trajectory and forced drilling of the last 200–300 m of the horizontal section in the rotary mode. Combined drill strings made it possible to significantly increase the load reach during directional drilling of a standard BHA, and the use of hydrocarbon-based mud (HBM) significantly reduced the resistance forces in an open and cased borehole, allowed drilling a well with a horizontal section length of 2000 m.
