Annotation:

Drilling of intervals with abnormally low reservoir pressures meets two main problems: losses (up to catastrophic ones) and the formation of significant clogging zone of the reservoir pore space. Both problems are associated with the excess of drilling fluid’s hydrostatic and especially hydrodynamic pressure on the reservoirs with reduced pressure. As a result, there occur significant losses of expensive solutions volumes, differential sticking of the drill string, clogging of the pore channels of the productive reservoir and reservoir properties decrease. The article presents an analysis of currently existing and prospective methods of productive reservoirs penetration with abnormally low reservoir pressure, including underbalanced drilling, casing and drilling with light drilling fluid systems. The results of laboratory and field trials of low-density emulsion drilling fluids-direct and reverse emulsion - at one of the fields in the Perm region are presented. The data of hydrodynamic studies are shown as well, according to which, in candidate wells drilled using low-density drilling fluids, the average calculated pollution skin factor was 1,87 units, which is more than 2,5 units below the corresponding value for analog wells drilled using conventional technology.
