Annotation:

The article presents the results of research aimed at further improvement of various options of milled tools of roller-cone drill bits, both in terms of the rock destructionefficiency and service lifeprolongation. The prospects for the use of some already proven solutions, which made it possible to increase the main performance indicators of roller-cone drill bits with milled cutting structure and ensured a significant economic effect, wereanalyzed. The results of the analysis provided revealing of the most promising design solutions that were not widely used before for various reasons, from technological to financial ones. Parts of the most effective solutions that had world novelty, that were developed, patented and successfully tested in our country, are the subject of this article.
