Annotation:

At the late stage of oil fields development, in conditions of steadily growing water cut, the additional development of residual reserves is one of the most important tasks. This is especially true for terrigenous reservoirs of small fields being at the third and fourth stages of their development, when the increase of the water cut can go on without reaching the expected stabilization asymptote, initiating the problem of further economic feasibility of exploitation. An attempt to solve the problems applying classical technologies from domestic and foreign practice is in most cases unsuccessful. The authors of the article analyze information on the methods for oil production stabilization, water cut reduction and a set of measures to improve the efficiency of the development of the Zarechnoye field in the Republic of Tatarstan during 2004–2021. At the first stage, a complex of laboratory studies and field work on polymer flooding was carried out.
