Annotation:

At a number of fields in the Western Siberia, there exists a problem of poor quality of well cementing. Standard approaches to improve the situation (new types of cement slurries, improved designs of cementing equipment, etc.) do not bring a significant effect. The applied statistical processing of data small amount using descriptive statistics does not allow qualitative modeling of well cementing the process. Previously, to improve cementing quality, a data analysis methodology was proposed based on such machine learning methods as "Random Decision Forest", "Growing Trees", Bayes’ theorem, Kohonen neural networks, direct distribution neural networks, k-nearest neighbors, “interactive drilling data". Based on the results of the methodology application, the fundamental problem of the complexity of calculation results verification was determined. To solve it, in addition to machine learning methods, classical methods of statistical analysis (Chi-square, Fisher's test, correlation analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, etc.) were added to the methodology as well as an expert method as the final stage of modeling, which made it possible to "weed out" logically absurd calculation results.
