Annotation:

The construction and operation of all-purpose wells in fields with the presence of permafrost rocks (PFR) are inextricably linked with the reliability of their design, especially with the safety of wells support in the permafrost zone. Incidents that occur directly with casing strings and tubing are most often caused by their collapse or leakage. Design organizations are engaged in determining the optimal technical and technological solutions of wells cementing in the permafrost interval, but in case of making incorrect design decisions or violation of well cementing technology, the analysis, assessment and identification of defects occurrence causes are usually carried out by technical experts. The authors of this article decided to share the results of the examination of the most common type of defect in well cementing – the collapse of the production string – using the example of an incident at one of the developed fields in Yakutia, giving their recommendations and assessment.
