Annotation:

The article discusses the main stages of improving the design of rock cutting drilling tools (RCT) and rock cutting drilling tools with spherical and spherical-conical rolling-cone drill bits to raise the quality of a wellbore formation during drilling. The results of RCT field testing, manufactured according to the technologies of conversion production, which allowed creating rolling-cone drill bits, which are technically close to the indicators of leading foreign companies, are presented. The results of field tests of the developed drill bits with spherical and spherical-conical rock cutting sections, drill bits using downhole drilling motor (DDM) and electric drill bits, taking into account the shortcomings of reactive turbine drilling (RTD), are presented. It is shown that the introduction of the developed bit drills with spherical rock-cutting sections made it possible to obtain high technical indicators compared to other rock cutting tools and drilling methods. The best performance of the well expansion was obtained using rotary-screw drills (in comparison with RTD and other drilling methods). A classification of a geological section has been developed by constructing a summary classification section (SCS) and a variant geological-technological classification section (VGTCS) according to geological-technological characteristics (GTC) and physical-mechanical properties of rocks. The methodology for wells rational designing has been improved in terms of substantiating the conditions for compatibility of geological section intervals.
