Annotation:

To implement effective drilling, taking into account all the requirements and conditions, it is necessary to know about the features of the rock destruction mechanism by a drilling tool, the type of which is determined by the design and material of the cutting element reinforcing it. The study of the mechanism of rock destruction by the cutting element is a very difficult task due to the small dimensions of the "cutter-rock" system. As an object of study, a diamond rock-cutting tool was accepted as the most popular one and, at the same time, having the possibility of reinforcing various shapes and sizesby cutters. When designing the cutting part of a drilling tool, the design of which is aimed at implementing high rates of penetration per tool, it is necessary to take into account the mutual influence of physical-mechanical, hydraulic and dynamic processes associated with drilling. To study the interaction of diamond cutters with rock during drilling, the most relevant method is computer simulation, which facilitates the implementation of a systematic approach to scientific research and allows, taking into account numerous criteria, studying even hard-to-reach objects for the experiment, determining the optimal force load on the cutting part of the tool, taking into account the state of the cutters. As a result of the study, the influence of the cutting element on the possibility of increasing the rock destruction depth by regulating the force effect of the cutter on the rock was determined.
