Annotation:
The article considers the problems related to the quality of performing a hydraulic fracturing, the necessity of accounting for mobile and immobile reserves of high-viscous oils. The required studies of the well vertical section were carried out to assess the susceptibility to hydraulic fracturing. The rationale of the horizontal wellbore optimal position is given, based on the requirements of the stimulated zone geometry, assurance of the horizontal wellbore drilling in the given target interval, taking into account the predictable lateral consistency of the reservoir, the need to identify retort layers in the section by geophysical methods used in geosteering.
