Annotation:

The classification of complications during wells drilling and development is the basis for a scientifically grounded choice of methods and means to ensure the reliable operation of well structures. This article proposes one more classification in which, based on drilling terminology, such as "drilling interval complicated by unstable rocks", "unstable rocks" themselves and other related factors are also considered complications, only of the first, second and third kind. Moreover, in this classification, based on cause-and-effect relationships, the chains of complications sequences can be not only linear and branched, but also with elements of intra-level transition and inter-level return.
