Annotation:

An assessment of the technical-economic indicators of crossings construction when implementing the technology of horizontal directional drilling with a shield is required to develop the economic indicators of construction and the widespread introduction of this technology in the construction of various pipeline crossings through natural and artificial obstacles (during the laying of the linear part of the main pipelines). In order to solve this problem, the indicators that can be used for this as well as the factors that determine them, were studied. The work carried out showed the necessity of involving the provisions on mechanical, technical, commercial and cycle rates of penetration when constructing underwater pipeline crossings. For a correct assessment and analysis of the technical-economic indicators of underwater crossings construction, the authors of the article, to process the parameters, measured during the construction process, substantiated the necessity of applying non-parametric statistics methods for processing the parameters measured during the construction process and for combining the involved methods with the provisions of the mechanics of soil destruction and the nature of the relationships between their components. A preliminary analysis of the data obtained from the results of measurements of the shield penetration rate in various types of soils allows making a conclusion that the realized values of the mechanical penetration rate when using the technology of horizontal drilling by shield (HDSh) are random variables, and their distributions cannot always be attributed to the known laws.
