Annotation:

Mechanical penetration speed when constructing underwater pipeline crossings is determined by the aggregation state of soils, being penetrated. The factor that provides control over the penetration rate is the use of specially designed rock cutting tool (shield) as well as flushing modes in the process of soil destruction. When analyzing the process of crossings construction using a shield equipped with special equipment for soil mixed types, applying the method of non-parametric statistics, it became possible to determine the impact of the transition profile depth and the soil aggregation state during the construction of the underwater pipeline crossing on the penetration rate. The results obtained are the basis for the formation of cost indicators of underwater crossings construction by the method of horizontal directional drilling with a shield.
