The article discusses the use of the technology for separating formations according to their current saturation nature, depending on the state of their hydrogen content. The rationale for separating productive formations from the watered ones in the Kuban fields is given. The interaction of various fluids with each other as well as interaction of the productive formation with the porous structure causes the occurrence of capillary phenomena, the formation of a joint flow of fluids in the productive formation and uneven and incomplete displacement. These processes are a sign of multiphase filtration occurrence in a productive formation. Under certain development modes of oil and gas fields and the conditions under which the fluid is present in the formation, a flow of a multiphase and multicomponent mixture may occur. The technology for formation saturation assessment under multiphase filtration conditions allows separating formations according to their saturation both after opening by drilling and during operation. The formations (gas, oil, water) are separated along the section by comparing electrical and neutron parameters (measured resistances, average lifetime values, neutron flux intensity ratios). The use of the proposed complexes allows grouping formations by oil and gas saturation with mixed gas and oil content at development sites.
