Justification of the system of an oil and gas field development using sidetracking technology as a solution to the problem of residual oil reserves development and low-debit wells restoration

Annotation:
The oil and gas condensate field under consideration is considered to be a fairly typical field in the Western Siberia; possessing significant reserves and being complexly composed. Fields development is characterized by the initial formation of well grids in more productive areas with large productive thicknesses and subsequent transition to less productive areas with smaller thicknesses. At present, under the existing economic conditions, the creation of traditional development systems using directional wells in the areas with low reservoirs characteristics is on the verge of profitability. There required using new methods that allow for the development of reserves with higher economic efficiency. In addition, in the areas where reservoirs have been developed for many years, due to the variability of the filtration-capacity properties of productive oil reservoirs, there formed zones that are not involved in the development process. The author of the article provides a rationale for the system of an oil and gas condensate field development using the technology of drilling sidetracks as a solution of the problem of residual oil reserves development and low-yield wells restoration.
