Annotation:

Today, based on the objectives of oil and gas fields development in the Leno-Tunguska oil- and gas-bearing province, namely increasing the commercial drilling speed and reducing the risk of accidents, it is required to solve the problem of increasing the efficiency of core sampling in difficult geological conditions. The authors collected production data when drilling wells in the Irkutsk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Their statistical studies were carried out. The main problematic factor complicating the process of core sampling in pilot boreholes of production wells is anisotropic fracturing and cavernousness, for example, of unevenly silicified carbonate reservoirs of a natural Riphean reservoir. The secondary processes in the ancient carbonate strata of the Riphean and Vendian-Cambrian formed an extremely complex environment, anisotropic in physical, mechanical and filtration properties; one of the main processes was the silicification of reservoir rocks. As a result, sharp differences in the drill ability of both the vertical, inclined shaft and the horizontal section are recorded. It is extremely difficult to give a real forecast of the distribution of the section permeable intervals (as well as the degree of silicification). Another complicating factor that reduces routine penetration is wedging when taking cores in inclined boreholes of production wells in conditions of vertical and subvertical fracturing of the reservoir layer. Technical solutions have been proposed to optimize core sampling in complex cavernous-fractured reservoirs in terms of increasing mechanical speed and trip penetration.
