Annotation:

A significant portion of Russian oil fields has entered the final stage of development and is characterized by a decline in production. It is caused by the depletion of active oil reserves and high water cut of production wells, thus leading to an increase of the share of residual oil and a decrease of the operation economic efficiency. Various methods of a formation treatment, characterized by the use of displacing agents with a high mobility as compared witha formation oil, differ by one common serious drawback – the rapid breakthrough of the displacing agent into production wells, low impact coverage both in the thickness of the formation and in its area. The search for the methods to increase coverage by the impact, the displacement coefficient and to isolate the channels of the injected reagent breakthrough is very relevant. To increase the efficiency of oil displacement during a field development, the nanotechnology application is of great interest. The article overviews the recent researches describing the use of nanoemulsion to enhance oil recovery and paves the way for researchers interested in these achievements integration.
