Annotation:

Drilling of any-purpose wells in anisotropic rocks is associated with the trunk natural curvature, which causes significant complications when constructing wells of the given direction. Excessive deviation of the wellbore from the design profile entails significant time and economic costs due to the necessity of carrying out work to adjust its direction. Thus, an analytical study of the natural curvature factors, the development and improvement of drilling tools to reduce curvature as well as the identification of the area and methodology for its rational use is an urgent task in the field of wells drilling. The article considers the design of special drilling tools that can reduce the intensity of natural curvature, presents the results of testing drilling tools with the eccentricity of with eccentricity of the drill bit cutting structures of the buff as well as a new method for determining the rational parameters of such a tool, in particular, the magnitude of the eccentricity of the drill bit cutting structures of the buff part for drilling anisotropic rocks, depending on the parameters and degree of anisotropy, rock conditions and drilling mode.
