Annotation:

Taking into account the geological conditions of the Srednebotuobinskoye field as well as the technical conditions of work when drilling horizontal sections of multilateral wells, intense absorption of drilling fluid is observed during drilling and tripping operations. The authors of the article examine the results of pilot tests using gas-liquid mixtures as a flushing fluid when drilling under controlled pressure in zones of abnormally low reservoir pressures. The efficiency of open hole drilling using a foam solution system is assessed. The foam positive properties, combining the advantages of air and drilling fluids, allowing to achieve a significant reduction in ECD compared with standard drilling fluid systems as well as to reduce the cost of well construction by minimizing losses of drilling fluid and the need to treat the drilling fluid with expensive chemicals are shown.
