Annotation:

One of the ways of cementing quality improvement, including in that one in difficult geological conditions, is the use of buffer fluids, which allow solving a number of important problems. However, the use of different types of buffer fluids in complicated geological conditions does not allow problems complete solution. Nevertheless, buffer fluids still remain the most common and effective method of high-quality preparation of a wellbore for cementing. Therefore, the development of the buffer fluid composition and its use in cementing, including that one under conditions of hydrogen sulfide aggression and absorption, is an urgent task. However using a single buffer liquid can be ineffective, so it is necessary to develop a multifunctional buffer liquid. The authors of the article present the results of research and development of a multifunctional buffer fluid, including: washing-erosive, displacing-clogging and adhesive-clogging portions, each of which performs a specific function, providing overall high-quality preparation of the wellbore for cementing under conditions of hydrogen sulfide aggression and losses.
