Improving the quality of wells casing in the fields of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province in conditions of hydrogen sulfide aggression and absorption

Annotation:

By now, a number of fields with aggressive fluids have been explored and put into operation, but if previously the content of hydrogen sulfide did not exceed 1 %, then in recent decades, hydrocarbon deposits with H2S concentrations of up to 18,5 % have been discovered (Bayandyskoye, named after A. Alabushin, etc.). The situation is complicated by the presence of highly permeable formations containing H2S. Typical examples of such geological conditions are the fields of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province, which are complicated by varying intensity absorption and H2S presence in concentrations of up to 18,5 % vol. Therefore, it is necessary to use a cement mixture that can simultaneously prevent absorption in highly permeable formations and form a corrosion-resistant and durable cement stone in aggressive environments, eliminating annular flows and manifestations. The authors of the article present the results of research and development of a lightweight cement mixture that has a reduced density and forms a corrosion-resistant cement stone with a stable phase composition and reduced permeability,thus making it possible to use it when cementing highly permeable formations containing hydrogen sulfide.
