Annotation:

The authors of the article highlight the main typical defects of welding joints of field pipeline systems for collecting and preparing well products as well as main transport systems and their identification possibility using in-line flaw detection and in-line inspection tools. The study proves that diagnostics using the magnetic section of MFL does not always accurately and correctly identify the defect, as shown by a comparison of studies of templates of the same joints using computed tomography. In this regard, it is recommended to use modernized MFL sensors when carrying out in-line diagnostics as well as modify the existing interpretation programs in accordance with the updated criteria for identifying defects.
