Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the structural features of the Achimov strata and deposits of the Bolshekhetskaya depression of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the experience of conducting geological exploration work. Weighted development fluids and technologies of their use in wells with abnormally high reservoir pressures of the Achimov formation have been studied. The use of weighted barite-containing drilling fluids has been analyzed and the process of barite precipitation from weighted drilling fluids and its undesirable consequences have been studied. An alternative solution of using weighted killing fluids (WKF) based on high-density water-soluble salts that do not contain a solid phase has been proposed. The criteria that WKF should meet have been defined. The WKF containing safety data sheets for chemical products have been studied. The solidification temperature (crystallization), the content of suspended particles, the corrosion rate, chemical inertness to rocks, the mass fraction of insoluble substances and the effect on rocks characteristics were determined. The criteria for the use of WKF have been determined: during development after testing an object (formation) and during conservation with isolated perforation intervals.
