Annotation:
The authors of the article discuss the technical-geological complications that arise during oil and gas wells construction in various regions of the world, and the technologies that would allow overcoming these difficulties. In particular, it applies to the southern regions of Russia and neighboring countries, namely Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The hydrocarbon deposits in these areas are mostly characterized by deep occurrence of productive sediments (more than 4000 m), high temperature of the geological section (200 °C and above), presence of associated petroleum gas (APG) and non-hydrocarbon components of an acidic nature. The technologies applied for preventing the mineral salts precipitation on well equipment during hydrocarbon production are briefly reviewed. It is shown that the secondary oil production of a binary gas reagent (carbon dioxide + APG) injection into the reservoir allows achieving an oil displacement coefficient close to unity. In turn, APG purified from hydrogen sulfide is successfully used in turbine units to produce electric current and heat for the needs of the field.
