Annotation:
The authors of the article study the versatility of screw downhole motors (SDM) used in the oil and gas industry when drilling wells. The purpose of the study is to assess SDM applicability in various drilling conditions and determine their effectiveness. Examples of successful use of SDM in practice are considered. The results of the study allow making a conclusion about SDM high versatility and its ability to operate effectively in various mining-geological conditions. The design of the SDM was analyzed and the versatility of a wide range of functional applications was determined due to the equipment modernization.
