Annotation:

The authors of the article describe some techniques to increase the strength of a composite polymer piston for more efficient cleaning of a field pipeline. As it is known, a large number of substances contained in oil and gas are represented by asphalt-resin-paraffin fractions, salts and gas hydrates. In addition, the liquid often contains insoluble salts. These factors require developing devices that would allow for quick, efficient, high-quality and safe cleaning of the in-pipe space. In terms of its ability to clean various deposits, the composite polymer piston occupies a middle place between conventional steel scrapers and gel pistons, rubber balls and other cleaning equipment. At the same time, it has a number of undeniable advantages: it is able to dissolve not only loose, but also hard deposits and overcome local resistance. By improving the composition, this type of piston can become more wear-resistant, durable and efficient for deposits absorption.
