Annotation:
The authors of the article analyze the implementation of solar power plants in the oil and gas industry of Russia and abroad using the examples of successful integration of this type of alternative energy into the companies’ production processes. Examples of the implementation of renewable energy sources in the USA, Italy, India, China and Oman, actively investing in solar technologies, are given, thus emphasizing the global trend towards the sustainable energy sources transition. The results of the development of a method for optimizing the position of rotary solar installations moving in the direction of the Sun and taking into account its position above the horizon are presented. The method includes an algorithm that determines the optimal initial position of the tracker, time points and the number of adjustments depending on the duration of daylight hours and the power costs of moving. A multivariate and multi-parametric calculation is provided, allowing adjustment of the installation operation depending on the time and location of its location. The results obtained provide a reliable basis for the implementation of solar energy systems at oil and gas facilities.
