Annotation:

The development and improvement of oil and gas field development methods and drilling technologies has led to the widespread introduction of cluster drilling. Initially, it was widely spread in many regions of Russia with challenging landscape conditions (swampy, mountainous and hilly terrain, availability of rivers and lakes), but subsequently it began to be implemented throughout the country. It is caused by reduction of expenses for preparatory works (reduced number of roads, power lines, water- and pipelines, relocation of drilling equipment, savings on servicing production wells) and minimization of the damage to agricultural lands. To reduce the cost of "zero-meter" work during shallow wells construction, mobile drilling rigs (MDR) have been introduced, reducing well-to-well travel time to 20 hours. However, if a well is deeper and a drilling rig with increased lifting capacity is required, the use of MDR is impossible. The authors of the article consider the feasibility of effectively using of a drilling rig travel system in the oil fields in the Republic of Tatarstan.
