Annotation:

Sludge poor removal from the wellbore can cause various complications and even accidents. The size of the sludge particles varies widely at any drilling method: from several microns to centimeters. Different crowns of drilling bit cutting structures create sludge of different sizes. In case of using toothed bits, the largest slime particles are formed under the leading crowns, which form a rack. The authors of the article substantiate the use of a high-pressure jet pump for additional grinding of drilling cuttings and its use as a colmatant. Structurally, it is achieved due to the angular displacement of the jet pump nozzle and the direction of the jet to the wall of the mixing chamber. When hitting the wall, the cuttings are crushed. The possibility of grinding most rocks has been analytically proven. Examples of cuttings grinding calculation are given. This approach expands the possibilities of using jet pumps when drilling oil and gas wells.
