Annotation:

Currently, the main method of oil production in Russia is the operation of wells by submersible centrifugal pumping units (SCP). Salt deposits on the working parts and surfaces of SCP pose a serious danger. The formation of dense stone-like sediment disrupts heat exchange, leads to jamming of pump working parts, shaft breakage and failure of the unit. The authors of the article present a solution to the main problem of increasing the overhaul period of submersible centrifugal pumps by cleaning the surface of impellers and parts using the hydro-cavitation method. The technology and the installation implementing it using super-cavitation phenomena in liquid jet flows are presented. The characteristics of the submersible centrifugal pump designs are presented. The installation was subjected to bench and industrial tests. The practice of cleaning parts by cavitation jet flows has proved the fact that the surfaces of the cleaned parts using the technology embedded in the installation are not subject to corrosion for several months.
