Annotation:
Accident-free wells drilling within the project timeframes often depends on optimization of drilling muds technology. At present, along with further development of scientific research in the field of component composition, only a few types of drilling muds are in practical use, which differ in an additional set of chemical reagents depending on the service company. The authors of the article consider the problems of using mineralized and emulsion drilling muds when penetrating salt-bearing deposits by wells of complex spatial profile, which requires specific technological properties of the drilling mud. Four promising types of drilling fluids are analyzed and experimentally studied, including a solution with a condensed solid phase, allowing for the use of local formation waters with a high content of magnesium chloride, which, in case of a competent approach reduces material costs, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The prospects and specific features of using the studied drilling fluids are assessed.
