Annotation:

Direct emulsion-based fluid systems have become a major innovation in drilling fluid technology for oil and gas wells. The authors of the article describe some features of direct emulsion-based fluid systems, their composition, advantages over traditional drilling fluid systems and the scope of application. The experience of their application, achieved results, and relevance of these systems for the oil and gas industry are also analyzed. Thanks to advances in the development of emulsifiers and stable additives, direct emulsion-based fluid offers a promising solution for efficient and environmentally friendly drilling operations. Environmental, technical advantages and adaptability to challenging drilling conditions make it a valuable instrument for the oil and gas industry. As innovations continue addressing the existing challenges, the role of these types of drilling fluids is expected to expand, contributing to safer, more efficient and sustainable drilling operations worldwide.
