Annotation:

Drilling wells of any purpose in anisotropic rocks is associated with natural curvature of the wellbore, which causes significant complications and economic costs when constructing such wells. For this reason, an analytical study of natural curvature factors, development and improvement of drilling tools to reduce curvature as well as the identification of the area and methods of its rational application is an urgent task of wells drilling. The authors of the article consider the theory of introducing an indenter simulating a diamond cutter into anisotropic rock and dependence for calculating the overturning moment acting on the drilling tool when destructing the anisotropic rock is received. The results obtained clarify the provisions of the methodology for determining the rational parameters of drilling tools, in particular, the eccentricity value of the end part cutting structures depending on the parameters and degree of anisotropy, rock bedding conditions and drilling mode.
