Annotation:

The authors of the article present the results of a studying the use of wave technology for the preparation of hydrocarbon-based drilling fluids. It is shown that the use of wave generators can significantly improve the emulsion quality, reduce the preparation time and the proportion of the hydrocarbon phase without deteriorating the key parameters of the solution. The experiments confirmed the effectiveness of wave action compared to traditional mixing methods. The results indicate that wave technology can be used to intensify the processes of preparing hydrocarbon-based drilling fluids. It has also been shown that some components of oil-base mud (OBM) reduce stability and can worsen the solution rheological properties. To avoid it, the addition of these components when preparing the emulsion should be minimized and, if necessary you will have to improve the solution after several cycles of solution circulation in the well.
