Annotation:
Hydrocarbon-based drilling fluid (HBDF) is used for drilling intervals of unstable clay deposits and opening productive intervals. The main advantages of this type of solution are high inhibiting capacity, which allows preserving the filtration capacity properties of productive formations and, accordingly, longer stability of the wellbore. However, the biggest disadvantage of using this type of drilling fluid is the low quality of fastening of production columns and liners due to the increased viscosity of HBDF, its hydrophobicity and oil structure, which contributes to the formation of a hard-to-remove film on the casing string surface and the wellbore wall. To improve wells fastening quality drilled by HBDF, special drilling fluids are used. The authors of the article discuss the existing methods for studying the washing ability of drilling fluids, which allow evaluating their washing ability from the surface of a rotational viscometer cylinder, from a metal pipe, from a rock sample. A method has been developed that allows evaluating the effect of HBDF and the use of washing buffer fluids on the adhesive force (adhesion) between cement stone and rock samples. The buffer fluids washing ability was compared based on the change of the HBDF film mass on rock samples and on the change of adhesion.
