Annotation:
Casing quality improvement is one of the urgent problems when constructing oil and gas wells. A significant number of wells under construction do not perform their main function of creating a long-term channel between the productive formation and the surface. Analysis of field data and experimental studies showed that a significant factor, especially when using polymer drilling fluids, is the complexity of boundary layers destruction on the well walls and the casing string surface. The authors of the article consider the possibility of a qualitative assessment of the of buffer fluids effectiveness based on the strength of the cement stone adhesive bonding with the surface of a steel cylinder – a casing string imitator. For this purpose, an installation scheme and a methodology for carrying out work are proposed. The results of the study of the adhesion strength of cement stone and steel cylinder depending on the type of drilling mud and buffer fluid are presented.
