Annotation:
A number of problems related to the development of information-technical support for the sectorial system of gas pipelines diagnostic maintenance are considered. Significant achievements in the field of preparation of educational-methodological literature are noted. The information, proving a significant reduction of conferences and seminars on diagnostics, the lack of publications of their materials in recent years are presented. The importance and necessity of holding scientific forums, in particular, the scientific and practical seminar "Diagnostics of equipment and pipelines of compressor stations" is stressed.
