Annotation:

The use of special designs of the stages of an electrically-driven vane pump unit (EVP) allows producing formation fluid without using upstream devices in case of a high content of free gas at the pump intake. The main distinguishing feature of the centrifugal-vortex stages from the stages of other designs is the presence of a vortex rim mounted on the rear disc of the impeller. The geometric parameters of the rim greatly affect the characteristics of the stage, both when pumping a pure liquid and a gas-liquid mixture. The article presents the main results of bench tests of mini-sections of electrically-driven vane pumps when pumping a gas-liquid mixture. The stages of the sections are centrifugal-vortex with different geometry of the vortex rim. The results of the tests carried out are the dependences of the pressure created by the mini-section of the EVP with different geometric parameters of the vortex rim when pumping a gas-liquid mixture, on different absolute pressure at the inlet. A conclusion is made about the different ability of centrifugal-vortex stages to pump a gas-liquid mixture at the same inlet pressures.
