Development of a methodology for localization of sources and possible causes of gas imbalance in the gas transmission systems using the Kalman filter and methods of mathematical statistics

Annotation:

The article presents approaches to imbalance sources localization of gas in the gas transmission system (GTS) using the Kalman filter and methods of mathematical statistics. The relevance of the work is caused by the lack of regulatory documents and methods of localization of gas unbalance sources in the GTS. The article proposes the use of three criteria for the reliability of the measured values of instantaneous gas consumption within the boundaries of the GTS, based on the probability theory. The application of the presented criteria in a time interval with a quasi-stationary mode of operation will allow determining the sources of abnormal gas flow values at gas flow measurement units and reasonably forming measures to verify the sources of possible causes of gas imbalance in the system.
