Annotation:

Currently, hydrocarbon production is characterized by the presence of many complicating factors. One of these factors is high viscosity of reservoir fluid. To provide a more energy-efficient pumping of such viscous liquids (emulsions), it is necessary to use special pump designs. One of the few ones is the design of the labyrinth-screw pump. The article presents the results of computer hydrodynamic tests and full-scale bench tests of an electrically driven labyrinth screw-pump for hydrocarbon production. Computer tests were carried out using the Star CCM+ software package. Bench tests were carried out on a certified bench in the educational-scientific laboratory of the Department of Machinery and Equipment of National University of Oil and Gas "Gubkin University". The results, presented in this article, allow making a conclusion that the labyrinth screw pump pressure-flow characteristic follows the laws of similarity theory when converted to a different rotor speed and the possibility of extracting high-viscous oils and emulsions using electrically-driven labyrinth screw pumps.
