Annotation:

The article considers the criteria for justifying the choice of the main dimensions of the DN400 PN16 butterfly rotary gate, which is developed and manufactured within the framework of the import substitution program by the sub-divisions of JSC "MOSGAZ". The production of shut-off valves requires strength and verification calculations at all stages of exploratory development. The method of verification calculation is developed taking into account the design features of the product and operational conditions. The strength calculations of the product design were carried out. Conclusions on the product reliability and safety operation are made.
