Annotation:

The article considers the problem of selecting the optimal pace of construction works at their minimum estimated cost. Special attention is paid to the acceptability of mathematical statistics methods to improve the validity of calculations for determining the optimal duration of works and the scheme of construction. A method for calculating the probability of works completion within a certain period of time with an appropriate degree of reliability to approximate the reality of schedules and plans of construction organizations is presented.
