Annotation:

Corrosion at hazardous production facilities of the fuel and energy complex can provoke accidents and emergencies, causing not only serious environmental problems, but also harm to the health and life of personnel. It is the corrosion, as is known, that is the main cause of accidents in the course of operation of the "Gazprom" PJSC gas transmission system. The consequence of this is the relevance of the problems of preparation and protection of metal structures surfaces from atmospheric corrosion using protective coatings and training inspectors of protective coatings. Extensive experience in this area has been accumulated in terms of training at National University of Oil and Gas "Gubkin University", and in terms of certification and qualification assessment, including international standards, by the Association for Assistance in Innovative Programs Implementation in the Field of Anticorrosive Protection and Technical Diagnostics (SOPKOR), established by the initiative of a number of leading companies that operate in oil and gas industry. These issues and, in particular, those ones related to the experience of combining full-time and distance learning are discussed in the proposed article.
