Corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel in different media

Annotation:

China is actively developing infrastructure projects, including pipeline construction projects. Pipeline construction in China is carried out using modern technologies, including the use of high-strength steels that have improved performance characteristics. In the process of implementing the "West – East" gas pipeline system project and increasing the operating pressure of gas in the country, the requirements for the reliability and safety of pipelines have also increased. The authors of the article examine the factors that determine trunk pipeline reliability, paying particular attention to the corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel in various soil environments typical of the "West – East" gas pipeline system.
