Standardization as an instrument for strategic planning: interelation with R&D and project management

Annotation:

The authors of the article consider approaches to integrating the national standardization system into strategic planning. Special attention is paid to establishing a connection between research and development (R&D) and the development of standards as well as applying project management principles. The necessity of formalizing the transition from R&D results to standardization to accelerate the advanced technologies introduction is highlighted. The mechanisms of forecasting and updating standards in line with technological trends are proposed. Furthermore, the initiative of project-based approaches application can improve the efficiency of standardization processes within the framework of strategic planning is discussed. It is concluded that integrating standardization with R&D and project management methodologies will enhance technological governance, ensuring a more structured and forward-looking regulatory environment.
