Annotation:
The authors of the article present the data obtained in the course of investigating insufficiently studied technological requirement for the resistance of corrosion inhibitors and alcohol solutions based on them to low temperatures typical for winter conditions of their use in gas fields. The impact of water presence and content in a water-alcohol solution on the probability of its freezing when used as a solvent in regenerated methanol fields is analyzed. The processes of mixing cooled (more viscous) corrosion inhibitors with a solvent are studied. For the first time, the corrosion activity of the inhibitor with an expired storage life has been studied and confirmed in relation to carbon and low-alloy steels, which can be used for manufacturing storage tanks and inhibitor pipelines in gas fields.
