REGULARITIES OF THE ACHIMOV DEPOSITS TERRITORIAL DISTRIBUTION IN THE LATITUDINAL OB REGION

Annotation:
The patterns of the Achimov deposits distribution in the Latitudinal Ob region are considered on the example of the Kogalym-Langepas-Pokachevskiy region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. In the absence of understanding of the hydrocarbon (HC) deposits distribution regularity, oil deposits in these areas are discovered either along the way, during exploratory drilling of the underlying sediments, or when testing missed deposits in the wells of the old fund. The high level of drilling in the Latitudinal Ob region makes it possible to understand the deposits formation mechanism by involving oil source deposits of the Bazhenov formation for analysis. As a result of such a comprehensive analysis, for most of the fields in the Kogalym-Langepas-Pokachevskiy region, the patterns of oil deposits spatial distribution in the Achimov strata became clear. Thus, it was found that hydrocarbon deposits in the Achimov reservoirs are formed only in those clinoforms that are directly adjacent to the anomalous section of the Bazhenov Formation (ASB), or are located up the uprising of the Achimov formations to the east of the zones of ASB distribution. Based on this, a reliable criterion for predicting the oil and gas content of the Achimov deposits for the entire territory of the Kogalym-Langepas-Pokachevskiy region was determined.
